Hey There! My name is Melissa and I appreciate you taking the time to look me up. I’m currently living in Charlotte, NC with my husband and two obnoxiously intelligent dogs. I studied design at Appalachian State University. I've worked professionally with a variety of brands. Coca-Cola, Lowe's, Classic Graphics, Charlotte Magazine, and several Parent publications. My skill set ranges from branding design to digital development across platforms for media companies.
I’m a Pisces - true to that zodiac sign, I’m intuitive, creative and try not to judge inappropriate or poor choices in typefaces... but it can be a challenge. I love and geek out on the power that color has over us all. I love to paint and experiment with new medias - it keeps my creativity curious, my soul full and my hands messy!
I can grind out work, but I love taking thoughtful routes to create unique projects-there is no-one-path-fits-all for creating designs. Working to create designs as authentic as the project's purpose keeps me motivated to evolve and learn every day. I’m constantly seeking growth and pushing myself outside my comfort zone. After all, it’s often what we think we know that keeps us from learning and being the best version of ourselves.
